Brett Fallentine is an award-winning documentary and commercial director living in Los Angeles. He is a fellow at The Royal Film Academy in Jordan and lectures regularly at USC's School of Cinematic Arts, UC Berkeley, and LA Unified public schools. His passion to immerse himself in diverse cultures has led to work in Canada, Europe, India and the Middle East which informs and inspires his projects both domestically and internationally.
Brett began his career working at Skywalker Ranch on STAR WARS: REVENGE OF THE SITH. Mentored by George Lucas, he left to attend USC’s Cinematic Arts program where he earned the prestigious Alfred Broccoli scholarship while simultaneously working as James Cameron’s Assistant Editor on AVATAR. After earning his MFA, Brett transitioned into the advertising space where he had directed over 65 spots for for clients such as Toyota, Samsung, Google, Pepsi, Microsoft, and various fashion brands. He has helmed several national campaigns as creative director and his attachment to brand campaigns have garnered millions of views, several Webby Awards, and a Cannes Lion.
In 2020, Brett released his first feature-length documentary, FIRE ON THE HILL: THE COWBOYS OF SOUTH CENTRAL to critical acclaim. The film garnered several awards and he worked with producers and the subjects to create Urban Saddles, a non-profit organizations that provides equine therapy and training to inner-city youth. Brett currently sits on the board of the organization.
